Smacked VoodooSidebar, Earl and sLums makes music that I f*** with on a pure musical tip. I like the beats. Dusty and lo-fi loops and soul samples brings me to a simpler time of hip-hop, and in a way drives home the point that the real importance is in the lyrics and the messages. Very self-reflective lyrics. Brutal honesty and recognition of one's flaws, while also expressing a feeling of motivation and empowerment, whether that's in oneself or in their fellow black man or woman.
If you can't feel that then I don't know what to tell you
