It’s a cool little bop, but idk something about Ed’s music in recent years just feels very forced and inorganic

He's been mentioning an idea for an album worked on throughout his life and released posthumously, called Eject. He wants to end at 10 albums so that's presumably the last.

“I kind of want to make an album for the whole of my life where you put different songs on and then it’s in your will that it comes out the day you die, and it’s called Eject,”

Yeah, always reaching for that hit. Once you're dominating globally like that I guess it's hard to stop striving for that. He did try to go back to basics with the Autumn Variations album, but it turned out to be a tremendous flop lol. I can't remember anything about it.
