Great project I think it’s actually about as good as museum music I love how he turned up the experimentation a bit but tightened the songwriting a lot one of the problems of museum music was moments like god made you a monster where it feels incredibly slow and just too self indulgent, here he does s*** just as weird but it’s in these tighter shorter bursts in a more varied acessible way generally.
I like this somber, almost glossy sound this album has it feels more expensive and danceable and ethereal and Edward doesn’t rap as much on it but the messaging is more overt, I feel like his writing got better. A lot of the meme-y lyrics are gone and it’s kinda cool he’s taking himself more serious. The whole theme of artificiality, art sucking the life out of someone, plastic surgery etc to stress this feeling of artificiality and the surreal horror aspect of the internet and persona is really cool. Esp as an evolution from museum music’s whole dissociation and pure absurdism theme

Yea this project has very little rage skeletrix language and museum music def had rage on it tho
