I’m honestly loving the game so far but god damn am I gonna have some FOMO while everyone else is playing this lmaooo. I just physically can’t juggle around two open world games at the same time I’d go crazy. Doesn’t help that I already have elden ring preloaded and just sitting on my ps5 already.
it seems like youre trying to convince yourself to drop horizon and start playing this and I can't blame you
Damn this looks beautiful but I already know it’ll be too hard for me lmao I raged at bloodbourne and gave up the first hour
Maybe I’ll try it some day

That doesn’t mean these games are hard, that means you have never truly tried or believed in yourself

Patience and trial and error are all you need for Soulsborne games. Pay attention to patterns, what works, what doesn’t. Don’t get greedy for damage because you’re close to a kill. Don’t stray from a site pattern. If you’re tilted quit for the day or a few hours then try again. If it’s that bad watch a boss video on YouTube. It’s a rewarding experience when you get good at these games
it really is just about learning the timing and flow of the combat. once it clicks you'll see it's pretty simple and fair (though still a challenge). people way way overstate the difficulty of these games and scare others and themselves away before they even try it.
Digital foundry article dropped, looks like PS4 version on PS5 is the way to go if you want a locked 60fps
Just saw the IGN class video.
Gonna try a mixed magic-warrior type build, probably starting with the Confessioner class. Never used magic in a souls game before so this will be fun
if this is my first time playing a From Software game should I just.....not bother or?

I heard its a good first from soft game and a bad one.
I'd say go for it, seems like you can do side stuff to be stronger if you struggle.
i just pre ordered the ps5 version at gamestop. should i switch it the ps4 version then to save that money and get the free upgrade? 🤔

From soft games are overrated in their difficulty. It is simple trial and error. Take your time through it, don't get frustrated when you die, take breaks, and you'll be fine. Once you understand the combat mechanics it'll all click and you'll think its easy as sin

I’d switch just to have access to both, don’t think PS5 physical gets you PS4 version.
Digital PS5 gets both though

this seems like a great first FS to play
not gonna quote all of you but thanks ! I've always avoided these games but this one feels too monumental to miss, I'll be diving in tomorrow with the rest of y'all.

Sure they are hard.. dont get me wrong plus i suck at them
But mans was saying he gave Bloodborne up after an hour. So that’s just a him problem, nothing to do with difficulty. He just didn’t took any time to learn the game at all then
Bloodborne is the easiest out of the bunch to me, and it was my first Fromsoft too which normally ppl consider to be your hardest. Once i got the hang of it, most of the base game was a cakewalk
