was playing with a dark souls newbie friend last night and was speculating "damn there is definitely much more past that first castle" and "we can definitely reach that cliffside behind the golden tree in the clouds" but he didnt believe me.

Yes, framerate is very inconsistent with noticeable stutters at new areas, and I'm playing on high settings with a 3070 mobile, anywhere from 60 to the 20s frame-wise

Also I had a problem that a lot of other people did where they haven't coded it so Windows automatically chooses to run it on your dedicated graphics card, instead using the integrated one, I had sub-20 fps and black squares all over the screen until I manually changed it so that it ran on the 3070, never had this problem with any other game

A lot of it reminded me of how GTA IV runs, a game that's beeb terribly optimised for over a decade, and I hope From doesn't just abandon it, I'm having a great time and my temps are lower than running GTA V on max settings at 144hz, but the issues do affect the enjoyment on some level
