It was an NPC summon so it should work in the base game without PS+, but I’m playing on PC. Did you pick up the item you need to view summon signs? I think it’s one of the fingers or something.

I definitely need a break from the game after that ass kicking I just endured. He was the only boss in the game to frustrate me as bad as he did so far. Even the Tree Knight was better.
