I'm fine with graphics taking a small hit this gen if it means better, more dynamic and interactive worlds. We've seen amazing graphics with games like Uncharted and TLOU and cool open worlds like gta v and ghost of tsushima but I want better open worlds now with this new tech.

For real, BOTW is the best open-world game of all time and that's got cartoon graphics

Next Gen should be able to do both but it needs to leave the past gen behind before it can do that

They should hand this over to Bluepoint for a quick touchup

I never played the original Demons Souls but I thought the remake looked really nice, how did they f*** it up in your opinion

basically they tried way too hard to make the whole game look like Dark Souls 3. they wanted to showcase the full visual capabilities of the PS5, so they changed a bunch of the area and enemy/character designs to better suit it. completely strips a lot of the originality the visuals had when compared to FROM’s later games.

The bluepoint version was very cleaned up and polished, and had some goofy Shrek animations with faces going on. It was certainly pretty to look at but the atmosphere was different from From's other s***. Which is only natural I guess but yeah, I wouldn't want them on Elden Ring
