Love seeing great game devs finally break into the mainstream with a pure quality product

Truly warms my heart seeing so many people talk about and enjoying this game. Felt the same way when Persona 5 dropped.

The future of gaming is bright

I just went with your advice and did a rebirth, changed my int from 95 to 60 like you said

The sorcery scaling on my staff went from 354 to 267 and deals way less damage now

Idk what you’re talking about with the redditor but I wanna see how they arrived at their calculation, I feel like a huge noob now in all these late game areas… gonna have to hunt down another larval tear and go back to 95 int

    For INT

40 = soft cap for weapon damage
60 = soft cap for spell damage
99 = hard cap for damage

Soft caps simply mean that going beyond the soft cap sees less benefits than what you were getting before the soft cap. So for example maybe from level 1-60 each time you up INT your spell did 50 more damage. But from 60-99 each time you up INT your spell will only do 25 more damage.

Soft caps exist because people want to stay at meta levels for PVP and it lets them optimize their build because every point matters if you want to stay at lvl 120 or whatever the meta is. If you’re just playing PVE and don’t care about PVP that much then by all means be lvl 200 with multiple 99 stats

Found this info online but ofc the game is new so there’s always testing being done

    “Intelligence = 20
    Attack Power = 20/50/80
    Casting Damage = 20/40/60/80

(WARNING: different staves have different breakpoints)

"Attribute boosts magic power of intelligence-scaling sorceries and improves magic resistance."

At least for Magic resistance there is a hard decrease at 20

For weapon damage from INT/FTH scaling, these stats also appear to follow a 20/50/80 split.

Casting damage has many different breakpoints depending on which staff you are using, but the general trend is a new breakpoint every 20 levels

Recommendation: If you use it; take it to 20 asap, then focus on survivability/utility before coming back and making the push for 50/80 (if you are going in on a casting stat, go all in)”

    Maybe try 80

Y’all been using ashes? I know they’re a big part of the game but I always lowkey feel bad when I beat a boss with them.
Might just do summonless going forward, getting more satisfaction out of that

They can be pretty OP upgraded its up to you if you wanna use them ngl.

I think people judging others for using them are corny so just do what you want

But yeah there def is a satisfaction in beating a boss solo

Idc i want the Rennala spell even if i don't get to use it for boss fights but it fits the lore of my character

there’s an alternative/better version of that spell called ranni’s dark moon that is similar except it lowers enemies magic defense so you can use it to initiate and then spam a high damage attack and it’ll get way more damage

Ah I see, that’s perfect because my int is 80 rn :)

I still think I’ll go for 99 though because of percentage based boosts like talismans, staffs and the physick that I always pop before a boss, even if the 19 levels after aren’t as much, because of percentages it makes the gap bigger between 80 and 99

like if I do 500 dmg at 80 vs 600 at 99 it’s only 100 difference but then you add all the percentage based boosts and it’s more like 150-200 more damage, which is important for channeling spells like comet azur

Yeah its bs fell for the exact same thing people saying after 70 youre softlocked or some s*** but nah thats where I actually started feeling the big impact

yeah also buffs like the meteorite staff in your offhand boosting gravity, the craven mass and craven school talismans which stack, the Physick with the magic crack tear are all percentage based so it makes way more sense to max the base number so the percentage gained is way higher

Apparently from my research the absolute best int build is be 99 int and 99 faith and have a +25 prince of death staff, which S scales with both int and faith so you get the boost from both and become insanely deadly
