Hades?
All due respect but these guys only make one kind of game. Like they always succeed, their games are fuego, but a new genre would be more exciting

I agree, they’ve been making the same genre of games for quite some time now, it works and they’ve made classics but i would love to see how fromsoft would tackle other genres, we could get something real unique again.

Sekiro is a different game compared to dark souls and bb if you’re talking about game play. They really created something fresh but still kept the identity of a from software game.
But I don’t really want a fps or a turn based rpg from them because they are good at what they doing with the genre they rock with.
Elden ring is coming next year and there are rumors of another ps exclusive from them aswell and I’m hyped asf tbh .
The fans also want another sekiro type game too
I feel like rn their focus should be about created larger and open worlds with dynamic skyboxes and even more interesting environments/castles

it’s rare to have a developer make this many classics period so asking them to also be masters of multiple genres is a bit entitled, they should do whatever they want

agreed, no need to change genres when they keep making masterpieces...plus Sekiro was different enough, on the surface the combat may seem similar to Soulsborne but it really couldn't be any more different
Miyazaki a god he can do whatever he wants, this is the 5th game in only a decade he's been main director on...we're already spoiled
feeling like Miyazaki going to draw a lot from BOTW for this game. Souls with an open world like that is going to be insane

He said in an interview he was very inspired by BOTW
At one point, Rolling stone says “many journalists over the years have said that the Souls games, from Demon’s on up through Bloodborne and Dark Souls, is what The Legend of Zelda should have evolved into. How do you feel about that comparison”? Miyazaki responded by saying that “when I was a student, The Legend of Zelda was truly monumental, so to be perfectly honest, I feel deeply unworthy of the comparison. The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls are different games belonging to different genres though, and they’re guided by different concepts of game design. They don’t need to aspire to the same ideals. If there are similarities, they probably stem from the fact that The Legend of Zelda became a sort of textbook for 3D action games”.

Great response, weird question
for what Zelda should have evolved into?
botw is a classic and elden ring is doing the same thing with the souls series

Dark Souls has more an emphasis on combat, Zelda has more an emphasis on puzzle solving. I guess Dark Souls kind of evolved the Z Targeting system in Ocarina of Time but there's a lot of games that used that mechanic before DS
