I’m a level 9 Vagabond playing a From Software game for the first time and just beat Bloodhound Knight Darriwill (took like 15 tries but I learned a lot and got better at the controls and learning his movements. The final attempt was pretty effortless). Got better at dodging, timing attacks and combat in general from this fight alone. Don’t know if that’s impressive or not but it felt good

Found both pieces of the Dectus medallion on accident by exploring Not even close to needing it yet I think but I’m proud of myself

I'm not using a shield and it seems like the best way to survive it is to be really far away so the first assault doesn't hit you then dodge the 2nd and 3rd assault. Problem is that if you aren't too far away you are f***ed.

If you have high HP it seems like the best choice in a scenario where you are close to her is to eat the damage from the first assault and then just dodge the 2nd and 3rd assault. Its really important that you don't panic dodge after eating the first one or you are dead

same, no shield here, I'm f***ed if I get caught under her when she jumps up, she consistently does it around 60-70% so I'm ready for that one, but I screw up the other times she does it lol

I'm still not sure if its % based because I swear I have seen her do it at very high hp, but if it is then it would make it a lot easier to dodge since once she gets passes the threshold you would ideally want to run away and try to bait that attack. Imma try and give it a go.

Or maybe it could be that its not when shes around 60-70% hp but its whenever you deal 30% of dmg towards her since she heals up every time she hits you. So in a fight where you are trading she will do that attack a lot

thats true, and yeah thats just what I have noticed in my attempts, it seems that she does it around 60-70% and I usually try to bait it out then. but she does it later in the fight too and in phase 2, I usually get smoked then.

okay my theory is that she does that attack whenever you deal 25% of her health. I just had a run where I took her to >50% hp and staggered her during the first few seconds so she couldn't do the flurry. After that I got really far away from her and baited her to do an attack by just casting a spell; she did the flurry. Right after the attack I did the same s***, got away from her - cast a spell and she did it again
