My gf started our play through. We picked astrologer since I wanted to try to be a mage in the first time of my life, and she's played mage in a lot of other games

That's why I play off-line for a solo play. F*** dealing with other people lol

Some first impressions of Elden Ring by me who's never played a Dark Souls-type game before:

• Gameplay, movement and combat feels slow and clunky
• Obviously you die a lot (which these games are known for) cus a lot of the enemies are on steroids and it doesn't help that the combat is so slow and clunky

• The world (so far) looks pretty nice I guess

I've been playing for maybe 5 hours in total and it's more because I'm trying to give it a shot, but so far I don't find it particularly fun. Not a big deal though, I bought the game with the intention of trying something new and seeing if I like it. I've given a lot of new games a shot over the past few years since the Switch launched. Some I ended up loving, some I played once and then trashed. Lots of people were talking about Elden Ring online so I got curious and was bored so I pulled the trigger. Perhaps I will get into it more, but right now it's just me wandering aimlessly picking fights, hoping to see something cool and praying that whoever I'm picking a fight with isn't a mad man who's going to make me die over and over again.
