150 is going to be the meta as of now
Thats way higher than the other games
75 to 85 was the meta in the others but this game is different
Most people are beating the game naturally in the low 1hundreds to 1 thirties
Im level 137 in the Snowfield still got 3 areas to go but I do literally "everything" n planning to also stop at 150
allant was buns, gywn falls over (great design though), don't need to even mention the ds2 final boss(es), and elden beast was pretty disappointing (arena & design are great). genuinely don't see anything unreasonable about that.
honestly, now that i think about it, i've never really been a huge fan of the final bosses of fromsoft games lol. isshin is by far the best one. soul of cinder and gehrman are pretty solid (more so soul of cinder), but i think everything else is pretty disappointing, be it design or difficulty (or lack thereof, really).
isshin, moon presence, and soul of cinder were all amazing tho

Gwyn is great for the time, simple sure but most the bosses are simple af in ds1 compared to now if Gwyn is an issue then most them are imo
Allant i aint played Demons but Allant before he's a slug seems dope
DS2 final bosses are good except for the witch queeen women who spams n the tree dude that just stands there
Still playing Elden
Soul of Cinder n Gernham is top tier
Isshin is over designed but still good
I wish we had a Vordt style boss in Elden Ring tho
DS3 bosses are brazy outside the few gimmick ones

How was Isshin over designed? All of his attacks are well telegraphed. The length it took to kill him was just skill issue. Honestly one of the best bosses I have ever fought in a video game

People complain about Frita's "too many" phases but Isshin is literally 4
Never want to fight him again but it was great the first time around

only one i didn't list was moon presence, which was a very cool fight. the other two, i did mention and had good things to say about both?
and what about the other final bosses for the other games? lol

Never finished DS3 so not sure how Friedes phases work, but the phases in Sekiro worked extremely well since each phase just built on top of the previous one and not in too much of a bizarre way. Every boss in Sekiro had multiple phases so Isshin having an extra one wasn't anything unexpected or new to the player by that point
The first phase barely even counts since its not Isshin and downing that first phase was so easy once you were progressing through the Isshin phaes

Most bosses in Sekiro only have two phases minus a few, which is normal.
Its just an annoying endurance fight, n his phases changes rather drastically imo. He doesnt change physically but his moves do, after original hes melee first phase, to mostly range second then powers 3rd.
And yeah every boss gets easier once you get used to it, still annoying to go through it again tho.

Yeah and Isshin had 3 phases if you don't count the fight before him. I don't think adding one extra phase is asking too much of the player considering the majority of the game had 2 phase fights and this was the final boss.
Most of Sekiro boss fights are endurance fights too considering a lot of bosses you have to get their posture down to deal the killing blow or transition them to the next phase.
The first phase in Isshin IIRC was just him using a sword and his second phase consisted of him switching to a spear and the pistol. His last phase just built on top of his 2nd phase + he has lightning now.
Might have been a bit to learn transitioning from 1st phase to 2nd phase but to the 3rd phase they don't introduce anything too crazy. You are also forgetting that Sekiro has the mechanic where you can revive once so the player can learn new mechanics a lot easier since they are given a second chance and they will naturally progress through earlier phases with less deaths since they have already experience it.
I wish I didn’t fall asleep with my PS5 on all the time lol. I wonder how many hours I have played so far. It says like 117 but that’s not accurate.
I haven’t even fought Renalla yet lol
I can’t believe how much I love this game.
Never played any game from FS before
Literally a week before ER came out, I downloaded Bloodbourne since it’s free on PS+…. I played it for literally 5 minutes and said this is f***in dumb and quit lol
Bought ER on a whim still, so glad I did
Will have to go back and play BB again after this

I count his original phase lol its still a phase you have to deal with n shuffle through, 4 phases is a lot imo n h its a reason he's literally the only one that does it n has the lowest passing rate out of any of the final bosses. Its a slog to me n others.
His "second" phase he uses the gun a lot to where sometimes he will even spam it & the spear has crazy reach.
His final phase depends on your playthrough, which he was doing fire s*** for me almost like a pyromancer which was extra annoying & way different.
And the fight is hard to learn at first for most people including me due to the multi phases & if you screw up its back to square 1, which is how souls games go, but its way more in this one particular.
I disagree with most fights being an endurance, most bosses can go over quite fast minus a few select such as Owl who blocks n moves a lot. The monks, butterfly lady, hatred demon etc. can go by fairly quickly n quicker to grasp imo.
Just not a huge fan of it & i think they overdosed on it a bit, but its still cool. He's behind Soul of Cinder & Gernham tho for me, 3rd place.

He probably has a lower passing rate because all the other FromSoft games have the RPG element to it and its very easy to over level + some s*** just breaks the game whilst the only thing carrying you in Sekiro is player skill. Its a lot easier to balance a boss when you don't have to take stat allocation and weapons into account so I imagine it was a lot easier to make the final boss actually have the difficulty of a final boss compared to the other games
4 phases sounds like a lot but I really don't think it is once you acknowledge the revival mechanic gives you an opportunity to keep learning the phase you are progressing through as soon as you die which is really major imo. Dying and immediately resurrecting seconds after seeing what you just died to is actually insane when you think about it
And every fight can be fairly quickly the more you deal with them. Might be a difference in playstyle but as I was progressing the last phase the earlier phases got quicker and quicker to deal with since I knew openings and I just got more aggressive and I feel like this was the same with every boss in the game.
240
Still not sure how matchmaking in multiplayer works but I'm pretty sure you can only assist players near your level?
And if you are level 240 I can't imagine many players around that level needing help with bosses

True i respect that n thats a good point about the rpg elements, another reaso why Sekiro outside of isshin isnt a top 3 FS game to me. I love the flexibility & all the diff playdtyles of the others while in Sekiro there is only really 2 ways of playing on a fresh new game.
Still a great game tho with some of the craziest moments like the dragon tree n isshin doing an orichmaru in the final fight.

Yeah you match with 10 levels above n 10levels down generally speaking
Now I can only help people who are in New game plus even though I haven't yet started new game plus. They all have late game armor and weapons and they're taking on Godrick
I don't understand how summoning works at High levels. I should just be able to help anyone
It works where its 10 levels up n 10 levels down from your own level in matchmaking.
Thats why people set a meta level, which will probably be 150 to 170 in ER, rn its 150.
Ur way overleved for most people probably, n its only been a month of the game is out so i imagine in general not most people are that high or far in the game atm.
