I did maybe half of Caelid after beating Stormveil, but it got too difficult further out so I went back to the Lake instead. I’ve gone through most everything I can besides the rest of Caelid, still haven’t entered the Capital yet. I left off in the outskirts

So you’ve done the 4 underground areas, Altus Plateau and Mt Gelmir/Volcano Manor? I would recommend all of those before Leyndell

Yes Caelid is hard, but some side bosses there are just BS. Just clear most of the stuff there including the main boss but don’t keep Caelid as one of the later areas imo is all i’m saying bc it doesn’t feel right thematically etc to me but it’s your playthrough so yeah

I haven’t given it many tries on this char but i’ve summoned my Mimic Tear +10 a couple of times but he’s useless for the first time so far

Does no damage himself, doesn’t properly distract the boss either and dies before i can even get the mf to half health

Might be just cus im an int build but i don’t seem to do any damage which makes the fight so slow and tedious since he can always one shot me

Its a shame bc his phase change cutscene is phenomenal

Not weird at all, no one is arguing that the boss isn’t beautiful, just because the boss looks good doesn’t mean its mechanics and the way it plays is good too

If you finish F’s quest you see what has happened to him, it’s absolutely hideous and one of the scariest/most disgusting designs in any FS game

From what I understand he’s not dead, he’s just sleeping in the cocoon. gideon tells us this much at least. I don’t think mohg is trying to resurrect him, he’s just trying to wake him up

basically Godwyn and ranni die at the same time which splits that death rune in two, his body survives but soul dies while Rannis body dies but soul lives on
