Just beat final boss. I was able to follow some of the character/boss relationships a little but I have no clue what this game is even about or really what happened.
I’ll let the lore videos on YT explain to me now
Playing through Horizon 2, and while I’m having a good time I low-key can’t help but feel bad for the developers.
They got shafted so f***ing hard when this dropped
Like, I feel like Horizon 2 is being talked about less than the original did even when BOTW dropped
I think of what we know the dlc(s) will be about Space that involves the aliens, the Blood Dynasty that involves Mohg n Miquelle and/or Eochaid that is a advanced kingdom that vanished - Briar the Bellhunter is from there n how his weapon n him can do crazy jedi s*** n the corkscrew attack
But yeah, i hope we get at least two to three reg story dlcs, or like one BIG ass story expansion
We def gonna be exploring more of Miquella and Godwyn, might even get a boss fight for either or both of them
They have been hyped up so much but we have rarely seen anything of them

If you read items and really take in the environmental storytelling there’s so much more to learn than going off theories from random Youtubers
Even someone like Vaati who seems to be holy in the community has said lore related stuff that i don’t agree with but everybody runs with as fact

Lmao yea I been trying my best to pay attention to what's happen but I'm lost
Gonna watch vids when im done as well
The Astel fight is fun but it’s a version with a super downgraded arena where he clips through constantly. That besides him losing a tiny bit of allure as such a different mysterious cosmic being
Same with Godfrey, what even is the lore reason of there being a Godefroy which looks exactly like him but is in an evergaol???? I care about the lore and immersion so i just rather have had another enemy in place of them
But as for the fights themself i enjoy the mechanics so it wasn’t terrible to fight them again
I dunno man to me youre reading to much into this. But Chalice Dungeons wasnt immersion breaking for you?
THE REAL QUESTION IS THO HOW MANY SPECIAL WEAPONS YALL GOT TO +10 IN ONE PLAYTHROUGH?
both my Moonveil, Carian Staff & Wing of Astel all +9 and im fully in endgame
Found multiple Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones but no somber
I got two +10 straight swords, level 110 67 hours atm

Reading too much into it how? It’s fair criticism. For all the praising of From i do on here i can’t have a few minor complaints?
And who said that wasn’t the case, the dungeons off BB are by far the weakest part of that game for me partially for that same reason of re-using big story bosses for no real solid reason

Like you really dont get how much more of an impact the Astel in space fight would have had if that boss wasn’t re-used in a lesser arena where he clips through the walls?
cmon fam u must understand
He is such a unique and mysterious design i would have preferred to fight him once on that special occasion. I think he deserved that personally

weren't chalice dungeons just lil dungeons for ppl to do mini runs and farm s*** tho? they weren't really part of the plot
at least i don't remember that being the case

True. Believe me I always try to follow along in From games but I just get lost
Like I need to takes notes or sumn cause they just give you random details and expect to piece it all together
I understand the approach but I’d rather it be a little direct or easier to follow

There's actually really deep lore tied to the chalice dungeons and I'm pretty sure the dungeons are described as being underground ruins; really don't think its that immersion breaking tbh. Its where you fight the queen too
Buddy wasn’t even that hard before the nerf, beat him in like 5 tries and I didn’t even know the summons respawned
Swear ppl were bugging saying it was hard lol. So easy on horseback

They were a huge part of the plot bro... its where that ancient civilization came from, where Queen Yharnam resides (who we seen in the base game in front of Mergos Wet Nurse & during the Blood Moon after Rom), it’s also where the blood came from supposedly and where they found Ebrietas, the great one who wasn’t hostile towards humans

i meant more, they don't matter to the main story gameplay
like you didn't need to do them to beat the game
idk if u knew this yet, but u can skip Redmane Castle entirely tho and go right to Radahn fight
granted ull wanna come back for the Leg u get from the dual boss fight but u can do that from a grace anyways
the only Legacy u can do that for is Volcano which would require u doing Leyndell first anyways lmao
wait what
there’s more to Redmane than just the double lions in the courtyard and the radahn fight?
u just blew my mind a lil, cant wait to explore fully in my second run

I mean i feel you but on the other hand all the vaguenese is what keeps me invested and asking questions to keep me thinking about this world

The castle is in that state if you triggered the Radahn festival
Go back and talk to the announcer to reset the castle and add a boss fight fog wall near the plaza

oh s*** that’s crazyyyyy i never would have thought to go back there

If you talk to the announcer he also goes directly to a place that ties into the amazingly fun quest of Sorceres Sellen
which is a MUST if you a mage type char
Best talismans?
I've been using the ones that increase intelligence, faith, max hp, and stamina recovery rate

There is no best it all depends on your build and playstyle
I just used talismans to reach 70 INT quickly so i could do all the spells
Recently found the talisman which looks like all the balls with sorcer faces which increases potency of spells

Yea I got that INT talisman and the double head helmet that also increases INT so my INT is really like 10 higher than without them
Both my swords scale well with INT and I've been dual wielding so I feel like that's the move currently
