Yeah the sleep dream mechanic has been mined a lot too, it was so close to making it:

Maybe a version of it might come back in DLC like with Miquelle and how hes in an "eternal dream" at the moment. Fromsoft always brings back their cut content eventually. Either in the current title or some DLC/title in the future.

Not officially but at least on console you can save a file to a usb or cloud n revert it whenever.

I do it to get the extra endings easier on ng+ without playing multiple times. Its been a thing since Bloodborne.

Couldn’t get whip cause I killed Patches early on and couldn’t get Greataxe cause once you kill Maliketh all the Duelists vanish
