if this is @ me, nah, i just wanted to make a fist build where i focused straight up on trading hits and eating damage

Felt good this is what my build has been leading up to this whole time

Ended up doing the blood mage build after beating Mohg. Using all the blood incantations + the 2 briar spells. I didn’t need to respect since they all scale in faith

Did some duels last night with it, gonna take some practice, lost like 20 duels in a row last night but I think that’s more an indication of my skill level atm than build. Once I started getting use to the set up I was able to win a couple, and make the fights a lot more competitive. The damage I was doing was decent, Bloodflame Talon was hitting for about 480-520 without buffs using a 10+ Frenzy Flame seal. I shoulda switched to the claw mark seal, only have it at +22 but since I’m Str/Fth. At +25 should see a big boost. Currently only about a 20-40 point difference in damage.

I got the staff of the guilty to +20. The briar spells are still sorta lackluster, better suited for invasions, but if you’re crafty in how you use it you can land a couple kills. Briars of Punishment has good range and good tracking. A lot of people will roll dodge towards you to close the distance, once they get close switch to briars of sin. My damage with it was sorta inconsistent. I was doing between’ 350-660 one the first hit. Each successive hit does a lot more damage though. Got a few kills in with that combo, or alternatively switched to Bloodflame talon once they got close.

I’m definitely not optimally specked stat wise n talisman wise for this build though, so a lot of room for improvement. When I max out my clawmark seal + staff of the guilty should be doing a lot more damage. Stat wise only at 50 Faith, 40 Str, and only 23 arc so I can use Marais Executioner Sword. So as you can see if I went like full on Fth/Arc I’d probably be much better off. I’m at 150 atm, contemplating taking it to 155 for a few more points in endurance, or as high as 165 so I can hit 50 Str/Fth n then 5 extra points in arc or endurance.

Might switch to Dex/Faith so I can use Morgott’s sword. It would really fit the theme of this build. It’s weapon art is one of the best in the game imo

went back to my madness build. Knocking niggas down like dominoes in all my duels only lost 4 duels outta 17. People don’t realize you can move and direct Unendurable Frenzy. Plus they always seem to stand in the left over fire from Vyke’s spear AoW.
