Never died to this boss and never fought them with summon. I dont see the difficulty just seperate them and fight one. If the first one is down you dont have to fight both at the same time again
Agreed
Idk why lately they started getting this sort of infamy now
Added to the list people hate/struggle with along with Malenia, Fire Giant & Radahn, but i feel the Duo is nowhere near the same league
I think it took me 2 tries. I didn’t even use a summon, I use the NPC, I think Bernhal
I dont use npc summons in souls games on my first playthrough but i didnt even know there was an npc for the duo
But yeah youtuber vids ive been watching godskin duo is always hyped up as a pain in the ass & so tough
Not that crazy imo, & the fight is nuettered to hell if you have a distraction like an npc or spirit
Crucible Knight Duo was way worse than Godskin Duo. Was also in a woat dungeon
Thats an optional dingeon boss but yeah i agree
I dont find duo/group bosses that hard in ER tho since we got spirits to use & im not against using them
But yeah for the curcible duo i originally ported out the fight once i saw them n came back after i defeated Morgott cuz i didnt feel confident nor was prepared

I really probably didn’t need him but everyone talked the duo up as so difficult that I thought I would need him
On this playthrough I’m gonna go completely solo. The only time I use a summons now is like for an area where there’s 50 enemies and I just don’t feel like fighting all them
Heard they rebuffed Radahn im glad they did
When i fought him in ng+ he was such a poor imitation of himself compared to the "real him" of my ogng smh
Iirc they gave him back all his moves again but toned the damage/spamming down a notch which i think is a good compromise
Also heard they rebuffed Melania but did it too much to where she was harder than ever so then she got a re semi nerf, havent fought her in ng+ yet but that is probably another good compromise i only fought her with her original nerf in ogng so hopefully shes more herself now

Real & yeah idgi, maybe a lot of people dont focus on one at a time which will get you killed if youre wasting time just chipping back n forth
Yeah in ng+ ive used spirits a lot less only using them for duo/group fights & certain ones of the mains like Fire Giant, Niall & Mohg, & will probably use a spirit on Godfrey n Melania but gonna feel it out first
Just beat Morgott and Malenia wants me to go to some snowy mountain, am I almost done with the game?

No
You got two main areas and 3 optional areas still
Leyndell is the halfway point if youre doing all the optional zones

damn this game is huge lol the city gave me final area vibes

Just added an edit of that the city is the halfway point if ur doing all optional major zones
But yeah, the true final main area will feel even more "final" than that

Halfway point??
That’s wild Ima explore and keep an eye out then for anything crazy.
Tbh I can’t even tell what’s optional and what’s a main area I just be stumbling into places by accident

Yup lmfao
Theres the 4 main areas of the open world, the undeground areas which some are optional (like Ainsel River), some are not (like Nokron Eternal City), then Leyndell City (main area) + the optional/hidden Leyndell Prison area, then from there it gets a bit linear but the two main areas are Mountaintops of the Giants (main area, where ur going rn) & the final main area after, but from Moutaintops you can also access the optional area called Consecrated Snowfields, then from Snowfields theres TWO MORE optional areas, Blood Palace & Haligtree that are both accessed from Snowfields.
If ur trying to fight all the trophy/achievement bosses, ur gonna wanna do all the optional areas plus theyre just really dope anyways. The game is amazing, literally half the game is optional/hidden content this aint even including the optional side mini dungeons spreadout everywhere

Leyndell is halfway
I haven’t played in a minute but that’s where I left off

Yup lmao, if ur trying to do all major optional stuff
Look at my comment above u laying out the order n paths, its wild
Some of the optional stuff like Haligtree n Deeproot Depths (one of the optional underground areas) are my fav parts of the entire game i cant believe they leave bascially half the game as optional n up to the player if they wanna do/find it or not

Deeproot Depths was pretty wild
Crazy how on the map for it you can see the trunk of the Erdtree
I’m stuck on this Crucible knight in Farum Azula
On another note this guy has cool videos of spirit summon ashes fighting each other

HOLY S*** I just found an entire lil section in farum that i didnt find in my ogng, it lead to a dragon greatshield & i found a crucible knight fighting the beastmen lmao i was trying to get to dragonlord n its a similar path but not exact, i thto it was the way to dragonlord n stumbled upon it
Bro i put in 201 hours in my first og fresh ng playthru i was playing since launch where i was finding stuff before the wikis n youtube videos due to how thorough i was, but no matter how careful u think youre going there is always sumn else out there
In my ng+ i found two side dungeons (ive now done them all), a hidden area in Nokron that connect it back to Siofra, the Dragonkin spirits in Snowfields & now this hidden off area in Farum that i missed in my og playthru what the hell bro im 311 hours in, this is crazy
I swear i must have found everything now, but i wouldnt be surprised if theres still one or two lil things/areas like in Haligtree or Ashen that ive might have missed
To the fellow vets of fromsoft.
Do yall like how all areas have some kind of soundtrack now wether its ambient or musical, or do you miss the silent immersion we used to have before Sekiro where they put a lot into the environmental sound design?
I miss it tbh & i think it made areas more "real" & memorable. Even if you play ER or Seki with music off, it enviorment design is nowhere near detailed like DS3, BB etc. since by default they have backing tracks now.
Feel like it took a bit of the uniqueness away from the games, I wouldnt mind the backing tracks if they kept the enviroment sound so detailed still.
Like BB for example i think is so memorable or part of the reason is because of its crazy environmental soundscape design & how varied, in depth n detailed it all is. Also makes the game more tense & nerving in BB & DS3, even DS1 & DS2.
Wish ER was like that. Hope we get a title like that again at some point. I prefer the natural deep expressive environmental sounds.

I thought Sekiro was way too intrusive with the (non-boss) combat music so I had it off a lot of the time. I think it's fine in Elden Ring.
Fire Giant is hard af for me. Apparently im really underlevelled tho. Currently level 89, but niggas on Reddit are saying I should atleast be level 100
