Finally did it! I ended up not using the flower trick, gulped blue tears instead of red by mistake so I ran out of FP early, ended up using a rune to restore it, gave me an edge later on, used a combo of spells and the Wyrm blade, glad to get him out of the way
Looking for the Haligtree now, this is the biggest game ever
eyyy congrats g
and yeah you still got a nice amount left, enjoy it while it lasts cause that first playthrough is always magic
mohg's robe is fire, a shame they didn't give it any special buffs especially with blood incantantions smh

Would yall say this is the greatest Souls/ Soulslike game Fromsoftware has made?
It’s the third best game imo, Sekiro>Bloodborne>Elden Ring>Ds3>Ds1=Ds2>DeS
Smh I accidentally killed Dung Eater a bit too soon down in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. Any way to get his questline restarted?

I killed him instantly as soon as I saw him and had the chance
. I didn’t even consider he might have anything else to say or do. The way he talked was enough for me

I think you can use the Church of Vows to reverse NPC questlines you messed up tho. I’m not sure how it works with all of them but apparently it can revive some NPCs at certain points. I’m also stupid cus I didn’t realize until way later when I knew more about the NPCs that I accidentally killed Sellen on first interaction. I thought you were supposed to help her get out of the webs by hitting them
LMAO

Ayo I totally forgot about Church of Vows
That might do something. Lol, I also killed Sellen a bit too soon. First time I used the atoning feature in Church of Vows was actually because I wanted Sellen back, and I think it worked (was a few weeks ago so I don't remember exactly what happened).
still on my first play through, 160 hours. didn't want to rush, think i've explored almost everything before crumbling farum.
best game ever
that Tree Spirit boss is ASS. worst moveset in any From Soft game
the giant tree spirit/worm thing? yeah f*** those
the giant tree spirit/worm thing? yeah f*** those
those things, yea. they just spaz around the map. funny I found the "mini" boss version before the real boss version but it just seemed more annoying the second time.

Church of vows reset it
I’m starting to dislike the poise stat since playing Bloodborne. The amount of poise you need to at least withstand stagger from 1 hit, is 61, excluding colossal weapons. That leaves you with a very limited number of armor combinations you can actually wear.
At level 150 most people you running into are wearing some combination of Commander Nail’s armor, Bullgoat, and Banished Knight sets. I wouldn’t mind poise if it wasn’t damn near locked behind 4-5 armor sets in total. Yea you can use that infinite poise flask, but only last 3 minutes, so for prolonged invasions you’re outta luck. Plus that s*** don’t work half the time in my experience. I barely ever notice it actually taking effect because I’ll still be getting stagger by rapiers when I use it.
On another note, been playing around with Malenia’s Great Rune. It’s ok… it should definitely give you lifesteal outside of the rally mechanic maybe at a reduced rate. Because I find that unless you’re using a build that can multi hit fast, you’re never gonna be able to actually trade into blows and get all your health back..plus in general character speed is so slow you gotta be using Endure if you truly wanna use that rune to the best of its ability. Cause recovering time on some hits is so long, you probably got half a second window to actually get health back. Works in Bloodborne because combat speed is all around much faster pace.

I agree about poise even though most dark souls only have 1-2 optimal poise armor sets I feel like they should’ve learned from that and made more.
Yeah her great rune stinks especially because so many enemies have multi hit combos and you can only rally the amount of one hit at a time, so if you get combo’d you can’t rally basically any health except the damage from their last hit.
aite ran up against Elden beast last night and got my ass kicked for an hour straight
give me some tips guys
rn I'm duel wielding fully upgraded moonveil and meteoric ore katana, like 52 vit, 47 str, 48 int. I've heard both Radagon and EB are immune to bleed so maybe these aren't the best options?
I've got a s***load of other weapons and stones to level them up though and can always respec if I need to
I get the feeling being almost exclusively melee is an issue with EB. I can get past Radagon pretty easily about half the time, other half he f***s me up and I go into EB with like 4 flasks

yeah no bleed + huge health pool means it'll take you a while, it's doable though
definitely make sure you have some talismans on that negate holy and non/physical damage (pearldrake and haligdrake)

EB is immune to all status effects and also has good resistance against magic and elements so the best thing to do is focus on pure melee damage. Radagon is weak to fire but immune to bleed and has high resistance to rot/frostbite/poison.
Practice more against Radagon all of his moves are pretty telegraphed you can definitely get past him with minimal flask use. Consider just allocating all flasks to HP because they both have high resistance to magic you might want to just fight melee

One thing to note is Elden Beast actually isn't immune to the effect inflicted by Black Knife Tiche, the Black Blade incantation, and Maliketh's Black Blade. I used that to chip away at it's health when I fought it.
Malenia been slapping me for two days but I'm getting closer. I'm a STR / Melee build, so all my fights in the game have been up close and personal. My main weapon is the Grafted Greatsword+10 but I'm trying to beat her with the Bloodhound 's Fang+9 because of it's blood loss buildup effect which can be helpful against Malenia. I can beat her first phase somewhat consistently and get some hits in on her second phase but some of her attacks are hard to avoid.
How long you think till dlc
Havent finished the main story yet just hit the forbidden lands
