Completed the game with a pure faith build, great shield/spear build, fist build, and a half dozen other incomplete builds/runs I can’t be bothered to finish (mage, int/faith death sorcery, arcane, dragon magic, str zweihander).
100% trophy completion, favorite builds were lightning faith (always been my favorite since lightning spear DS1), and surprisingly the fist Hourah Loux build was hilariously fun.
Finally gonna try and give Horizon FW an actual go now (barely did the first exploratory level), but I also just downloaded GTAV ps5 which I haven’t actually played since the ps3 version
I’ll be back with the DLC

I beat him using an arcane build. He is weak to bleed ironically. Me and a mimick tear spammed him with dragon communion incantations, scarlet rot and glinstone breath, as well as flies.

Dragon magic/Arcane/Blood builds are more broken than magic imo. Makes the game become trivial.

Lol. Happened to me twice. Once when fighting Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, in which we both died at the same time and it counted as Win for me. Next was when I was trying to beat Malenia and I died, and while my death animation was going on, she died from one of my summoned archers but it didn’t count as a victory for me so I had to fight her all over again

He still wrecks me in phase 2. I get like 1 or 2 hits in and die with 8 flasks in my pocket every single time

I don’t have any more high enough smithing stones so I can’t upgrade any other weapons
Obviously I can respec and try a different build but that’s a cop out
