I read that it might just be an imperfect translation. In Japanese they don’t use pluralization so either when they explained it to GRRM or when he explained it to FromSoft there could have been
confusion whether there was an Elden Ring or Elden RingS. When all great runes are combined it looks like multiple rings/circles so it might just be Elden rings.

I just make a beeline for whatever weapon I want and then play normally. Exploring and f***ing around.

Also always get Radagons Soreseal in Caelid early.

God damn my first play though was 170 hours total, beat the game, did a good bit of the quest lines, and beat 160+ bosses, sheesh seeing some of y’all playing this over 400 hours damn how ? I died a s*** ton too and backtracked so many dungeons

If there’s any game worth putting a ton of hours in it’s definitely this one though

1400 my total playtime on the ps5, but I got 400+ on ER just because I’ve done like 6 full playthroughs plus several unfinished ones

First playthrough ran me 114 hours
Second ran me 50.5 hours
Mage build halfway through at 27 hours
GOAT FIST BUILD ran me 47 hours
Fire Priest 50.5 hours
2nd GOAT FIST BUILD (accident started NG+ on the previous one and wanted one for dlc) ran me 40.5 hours.

Then maybe another 40 hours across different builds that I haven’t finished; arcane, dual whips, and a death rite build

All this new s*** coming out and i’m still playing Wden Ring

It could be called a ring because of the many rings that compose it, or because it represents an order created by the engagement between its vessel and the elden lord, basically a sort of figurative engagement ring, or its just a LOTR reference

Do y’all stop leveling at a certain point? Think I usually stop at 150 on NG. Only ever did NG+ once and took my character to 200, not for me, I prefer to make a whole new character

Yeah I stopped everything at 150 because that was the consensus multiplayer meta level at the time, not sure if that’s changed since though

what’s the most fun weapon/build?

Powerstancing two colossal greatswords and jump attacking everything to death or two bleed weapons

Faith build using Twinblade with flaming strike ash of war
