The designs of a lot of things are amazing. Once I got semi used to combat the fights became really fun. Killing bosses feels great too.

No.
So diehard FS fans like this more than bloodborne?
Came away feeling like it was a 9.8/10 and Bloodborne was a 10/10, it's still a masterpiece though
If you do literally everything in one gigantic playthrough like I did, you don't really want to start again, it's just so big, the idea of NG+ is exhausting to me whereas with DS1 I wanted to replay it immediately after beating it, there are also some late-game areas that aren't so great, those are my only real criticisms
It feels like a Greatest Hits of From Software gameplay-wise, with new additions that fit right in, one of the best open worlds ever, like top 3, an approach to discovery and exploration that makes you wish all games were like it, ridiculously gorgeous and impressive visuals, crazy-ass boss fights where it genuinely feels like your opponent wants to kill you at any cost, fascinating lore (read those item descriptions), and endless surprises, it's a very rare kind of gaming experience and it makes me so happy to see new players tackling it for the first time ITT
