I’m only on Raya Lucaria buy game playing colosal swords builds it’s like easy mode. Only downside is I can’t use magic
What we thinking dlc size looking like?
I’m thinking 2 areas similar in size to limgrave/caelid, with a large underground area too, and 3 legacy dungeons with maybe a hidden 4th one.

Entire new game
Crazy how the game is so much easier when playing caster. My first run I had made a full on warrior with the biggest weapons and heaviest armor, and often struggled to beat certain bosses, whereas on this second run I pretty much destroy everything with sorcery…

Biggest armor was your problem. You want fast rolls.
Still never played this, been wanting to but I want to play demon souls first so I can get my souls like bearings. I don’t typically like souls likes, I prefer Action RPGs and hack and slash games but I know all the acclaim for this ain’t for no reason

Everytime I get into one I get frustrated af until it finally clicks for you.
The closest thing to elden ring is dark souls 3 imo.

Caster lets you fight at a distance so it’s def easier in the sense that you don’t really gotta learn move sets and dodge, mostly just keep your space.
My favorite playthrough was spiked caestus pure strength build. Literally didn’t even have to dodge most boss attacks I would just use the left trigger ability “endure” and trade punches with the heaviest armor and as much HP as possible.
One year after completing this.
This might actually be my favorite game ever.
From the whole atmosphere and the world, the characters, the fantastic story told in such a unique way.
And then the classic From gameplay, but beautifully modified for the amazing open world.
If there was ever a 10/10 game, this one might be it.
I wish I could play it for the first time again, I've started a new save a few days ago just to experience it all over.
I’ve got 2 characters saves right before Elden beast, i’m hoping the dlc lets us use end game characters. But with how big the dlc supposedly is it wouldn’t surprise me if they make you go in with a new character

They have never made you make a new char and they won’t make you do it this time. Build variety is at an all time high you really think they gonna take that part away from you every time you enter the DLC?
Also you can fight the Elden beast with your chars, it won’t take you into NG+ like it did in BB

I just haven’t beat elden beast with those 2 characters because I don’t like the fight, I doubt they’d make the end game world status affect your ability to play the expansion.
I don’t think this’s going to be a normal Fromsoft dlc, with how long they’re taking and how big it apparently is i’m starting to think it’ll be more like what The Lost Legacy was to Uncharted 4. Hopefully we’ll see tomorrow at the game awards

Agree that it’s gonna be different from your usual FS DLC but I’m already telling you ain’t no way you won’t be able to use any endgame character you’ve created. There’s just no logic to taking away that huge bit of freedom that Elden Ring is all about in terms of design.
They most def gonna lock the DLC behind a certain part of the game. Like Gael offering the scrap of painting for Ashes of Ariandel at the Cathedral of the Deep in DS3 and getting the Old Hunters item after Vicar Amelia in BB

I agree with you but let him cook
What if instead of a postgame type DLC, it's a separate mode where our main character is the light of the erdtree and in this mode we play our "shadow" doing things in the background to help them progress
booted this up (after not turning it on in nearly a year) during thanksgiving to show to a family member that wanted to see it and try it out
i forgot how gorgeous in places this game is artistically and graphically
i booted up at the haligtree which is one of my fav areas from fromsoft
s*** was downright beautiful i completely forgot - especially when youre at the 2nd part of the tree houses after the descent of the tree branches
so pretty
