Heavily regretting not getting the sanctified whetblade before killing maliketh, would be very helpful in this dlc
Final fight thoughts I think just this once I wouldve really loved if from soft gave us this uplifting journey to ascend miquella to godhood as his consort. But of course its not in the dna of their games. When I heard the trailer ost for Miquella just had me hooked and believe in this man. I still do tbh.
because whats still so weird is why he lead us to all of these places. Why he chose and us gave us torrent. Miquella abandonding everything might just include godhood. Trusting it into us and not his cursed flesh and blood. I mean this guy hated his heritage so much he made Mohgs Omen horned body defile him in the normal world.

Real. Without it Lightning milady with wing stance + appropriate talismans wouldn’t be possible for me

Giving us the choice would’ve been fire ngl. But a minor nitpick on my part. Overall it has been incredible
putrescent knight that’s what y’all were struggling with?
maybe I’m a higher scud level than y’all when you reached him but I boxed him up three tries
Not bragging tho just thought he’d be more difficult
must be build dependent

I’m ng+ as well so maybe that had something to do with why he was so aggro
Discovered a lot of bosses in an hour span
Sheesh. I'm not even in no mood to have war against a side boss rn
Idk if I'm just having a meh day or Im really just done with souls after this but I'm just tired of fighting bosses lmao

Nah the bosses in this DLC are generally just not “Fun”

everything else is 10/10 tho
They really left strength/faith builds hanging
Haven’t found any weapons worth s*** and it’s looking like i might have to go back to the blasphemous blade. Disappointing.

I had to pivot to dex/faith
Still kept the specs for Blasphemous Blade for exploration purposes lmao

What did you end up using?
If you want to beat Bayle just use the great dragon katana.
I'm not exaggerating, it makes the fight so much easier.
I died to him 12 times yesterday.
Took me two tries with the katana. It works insanely well on dragons.
They said "Don't do it!! Don't start the DLC on your NG+ character!! It's gonna be too hard!!" Well...
I just started the DLC on my NG+ character earlier today and so far it has not been too hard. It's lowkey been kinda easy. I'm level 170, pure Strength build with a heavy Greatsword.
First thing I did in the realm of Shadows was to head for one of those big fire giants in the overworld. Cooked it in its own flames, then I beat the Divine Beast Dancing Lion and Death Knight. None of them felt unfair or overwhelming or made me mad at any point. To the contrary I was really enjoying it. Now I'm outside Castle Ensis. Perhaps this is where I'll eat my words.
Loving this DLC so far! I wasn't originally planning to buy it but I'm really glad I did.
