At this point, I think everyone knows about the Nokia sample.

He’s the voice behind some of the lyrics without even being credited as a feature.
And the way he used the classic Nokia ringtone—pure genius. Only those with the most sensitive ear for samples would even recognize where it came from.

But what impresses me the most is the work he did with Skaiwater on Pop and Wet.

The range this man has is immaculate.
Pop is easily my SOTY. From the build-up to the chorus, to the sample used—everything hits.
There isn’t a single song out there right now that rivals this one sonically. It’s a 1:1 record.

Wet is amazing as well, but I feel like it wasn’t properly promoted or released. Still, the sample, the build-up, and the breakdown—every part of it is incredible.

Is there any producer even close to rivaling him this year?

I’d say maybe 406ahmad comes close, but... Elkan stays clearly on top.

Drake probably paid a big sum to have this man locked up in a cage in Sierra Leone to cook up the meanest beats ever heard by mankind.

And if he hasn’t done that, he’s just plain stupid (he’ll do it after I said so) :jordanlaff3:

I hope he do more collabs with the goat
With the success of Nokia no doubt Drake is going like there’s def some untapped potential here
He’d be remiss not to hit up the young legend in the making again
