Cafeteria workers at spaceX became millionaires. Everyone more or less got more than what they bargained for. It’s f***ed up that there are kids losing their fingers at lithium mines but that isn’t an Elon problem it’s a human rights issue and if you’re gonna hold something like that against Elon then every electronics company deserves the same flak

I’m not defending Elon he’s a clown and we’re better off with him dead but as far as how he treats his workers but from all levels he made a lot of regular ass people millionaires it wasn’t some piece of goodwill but everyone that’s worked with him made way more money than they intended

every million dollars that those cafeteria workers made is less than 0.000001% of elon's new net worth for context. 1 million dollars is absolutely life changing, no doubt. he could give 10,000 people 1 million dollars each and still have over 99% of his net worth intact. the human brain struggles to comprehend numbers that large.
even if we disregard the whole wage theft/profits view, he literally can't spend that much money in his lifetime if he tried. that alone should make having that amount of wealth morally unethical.
idk why you're bringing up lithium mines but since you did, i'm sure elon could use a sliver of his net worth to ensure that the supply chain for tesla batteries is both ethical and sustainable (he won't).
