It was all a miscalculation on his part he wanted to flex his wealth and offered to buy Twitter for double its price. He couldn't back out of the deal so he had to reluctantly buy it when Twitter forced him to go through with it

I don't have a Twitter account but I have to do some social media posts for my job. Platform is completely ass now, not even functional Feels like random tweets are being shown as replies, they have nothing to do with the tweet they're replying to. Hella spam accounts/bots

X is like all the email spam you're trying to avoid come to life.

It has all the signs of the last stages of a dying website: Glitching out, more bots than people, clickbait topics as last desperate attempts to revive site engagement, mods gave up on enforcing rules, premium subscriptions because ad traffic no longer drives enough revenue, no new updates/features for users in years. Yeah this is going to be long and slow but ultimately inevitable fade out of relevance like MySpace, Tumblr, Friendster, YikYak and Google+.
