DeliveranzeYeah 02-03 Em is prime time enjoyment for his music. I even like some of his more aggressive/horrorcore joints like Hellbound/Slim Shady EP s*** and even the battle rap tracks on Infinite can be cool….but that overtly offensive shock rap s*** from 2000-2001 has not aged well imo.
The MMLP is a fascinating piece of art that holds nostalgia and influence, but I’d rather listen to other stuff.
For sure he had a lot around that time that was great. Dude had/has an immense amount of talent, but after everything going down he just like forgot how to rap like a normal relatable person. Nobody can take that early 2000s run from him, but some people still think he's that guy and he's just not.
Still, his verse on my words are weapons probably the best verse from the gangsta rap era, and there's a few songs on TES that are among the best of genre those years. He was an incredible lyricist at one point because it all felt authentic.
