Feel like they f***ed him over pretty hard, I don’t think he wanted to release new music without a deal in place
I think that’s why he didn’t give def jam (or any other major label) a shot at Sunday service. I think he knew from the jump that they would stall the project & have them tied up for years. Ye with the chess move. 😳

Probably another reason why he isn’t on the album at all. Feel like they changed their minds and now think Kanye’s Christian music is worth more than they thought.
Sucks because I don’t want these snakes profiting off this s***. Kinda f***ed, I hope the Judge sees through all that s***. These contracts look way too f***ed.

Do you know if publishing rights control when and what he can release?

I do know this. when prince changed his name to a symbol (which is part of the reason why i posted that slave photo), he had his bassist sing lead on the Exodus album. He even used a mask to cover his face promoting it.
Now was that a legal issue? Or was it just for theater? Maybe showing your face in public promoting a project on another label is breaching a contract.
It's pretty crazy watching the virgin megastore ( RIP) promo from 95:
OT but : Look at him leap with heels on off the desk. These photographer's are egging him on to jump more. I'd be scared as hell if I was his manager or publicist. He could've ended his whole performance career leaping like that. I've never seen anyone do that.
But maybe if this is the case how Prince circumvented WB from a lawsuit by doing this, Ye can become Jeyeezus
Also, Da goat was on stage with the da goat
Da Goat tried to tell the world even on Leno:
He actually wanted to stop after Yeezus and leave us a classic discography but he couldn't :'(

Ye should just release his music from europe and have it streaming there. Def Jam cant do s***. Many US record companies have tried for decade's to stop label's from europe. The law doesnt apply in different territories.
Create a European label & then stream it with a international distribution license. Call it 'GREATEST MUSIC' All the profits go to YE with the physical sales. @MALICE

You just hire a decoy to run the label and make it look like a boot label. Ye collects everything out of expenses to run this label.
Maybe it isn't easy as it seems but there's a lot of bootleg's on streaming for other known name's. They just find a loophole and release it under a different title and horrible artwork

GOOD MUSIC
GREATEST MUSIC
I wonder if it could actually work, was hoping the trump friendship would pay off here. Really hope he gets his rights back, it really is f***ed up.

I think the cost would be immediately brought down due to streaming.
Actually this brings up a interesting question, if Ye started his own streaming company, how many people would need a subscription in order for it to flourish?
I say this because there is an artist who is a progressive rock god (in the eyes of that scene) but he's a born again christian who started his own streaming service called 'Waterfall' Waterfall caters to only the listeners of Neal Morse.
It doesn't mean that Neal is the only work that is available on it. Everything that he feels passionate about and if artist's give him the courtesy to feature their work on there, he puts it up on his streaming app. He has put so much in such a short time with his circle of musician friends.
NOW Neal is noooowhere selling/streaming any number's that Ye is doing.
I really think Ye would outdo Jay Z with Tidal. Simply because the trial of error of so many companies. He wouldn't need that many subscribers to make it work. The overhead wouldn't be that much. It would be so much easier to have your own streaming company & provide more revenue for the music you love as well.
Am I crazy? I don't think so. Not with someone like Ye.
