IMO, it’s crazy that they didn’t have the rights to stream the songs, but they did anyway and because they paid pennies out for it, it negates them never having the rights in the first place, s*** is crazy

Basically if you’re an artist who doesn’t want your music on Spotify, tough luck, you’re getting short changed regardless

I understand what the Spotify lawyer was saying, Ems hardly an innocent victim in copyright infringement because they didn’t flag up the royalties they did pay, however they never should have had the right to have the songs on the platform in the first place, they are deciding what they want to pay artists in that case without permission.
