His personality, voice, and technical ability are all really unique. I just don't think he's put out much stuff I liked since I've been listening to music (I'm 24), and his old stuff isn't super compelling to me. Idk if its the production or what, just hasn't aged as good as Jay Z or early Wayne records for me. His recent music can also be incredibly dramatic- some of the stuff on Kamikaze and Music to be Murdered By was kinda solid, but nothing I go back to. I really liked that Good Guy song on Kamikaze, but again- super dramatic.

I'll stricly be objective, this has nothing to do with how I feel for him or his music.

1) First of all, not many rappers has as interesting come up as him. The way he broke through mainstream already makes him unique and one of the reasons to put him as a great.. Before mainstream battleing competition making a name for himself all while winning over some big names is a feat of it's own. From there getting recognition by Dr dre.

2) Follows it up and releases 3 classic albums (doesnt matter how YOU feel about them they're regarded as classics and they shook the rap game when released. And i'm not even mentioning his soundtrack album 8mile(classic)(and movie)

3) Helped write 2001, a classic album. RELEASED a classic D12 - Devils night album, released a (cult) classic Album Bad Meets Evil and a good one Bad meets evil hell the sequal.

4) Has not only produced some of the most iconic verses he also produced some iconic tracks aswell. He was also known for bodying some of the best rappers during their prime, he has verses that people talk about til THIS day.

5) What he's done for rap as a whole speaks for itself. Every rapper he has signed, his album sales cant be ignored etc.

6) Has been apart of iconic beefs (Murder Ink beef).

I dunno I can go on, lol, influenced rappers, has the longvivity and so on...
