    Again, that’s my point

TES and his everything after was going in a less edgy/angst direction and more into a mature/gangster(g unit/50) direction, imagine if he did a whole 180 like Tyler did and only his first two albums had that type of content

I think Em only had 2 choices. Fall off or be cancelled. No way 2002 Em would survive the media today.

Or the third option, mellow out and mature, like Tyler did. Which he did do in the end.

Looking at the dip hurts , now it makes sense why so many late 2000s and early 2010s albums had intern-level engineering

    Y'all see their best-selling albums?

I think people forget how many f***ing records these groups sold lol. All three groups have single disc albums that went multiple times DIAMOND. There's nothing like it in music. Even the Beatles didn't pull off single disc albums that went multiple times DIAMOND.

that ain’t how we measure it

A multiple times Diamond album that is regarded as a classic that is still played a lot 40 years after its release is the bar, and Drake has not come anywhere near this bar

I don’t see that as being the bar to be MJ

Drake isn’t MJ but those bands you named aren’t close either. You really picking them over the Beatles because of a certification lol you’re lost

I'll give you that the Eagles are a reach, but they do have the overall best selling album of all time (their greatest hits)

Fleetwood and Pink Floyd are 100% in the same category as MJ are you nuts lol?

How are you gonna compare Em to MJ? lol did you guys listen to Em's lyrics? lol

A lot of people liked Em just like a lot of people hated Em for his lyrics and attitude.

    true tbh

if em never did d**** after 8 mile he couldve ran s*** for a solid 10 years like drake

Not true. Two things were still eating him alive, staying away from home and Proof's death.

Yeah true Eminem could have had a much more dominant hold on the later half of the 2000s but at the same time he still was selling more than everyone else even Drake for a good while

His sales didnt even see a real decline until Revival and even then he was still doing big numbers in general

He was still selling more than Drake of all people till like 2014 or so right? Thats crazy
