there really werent that many great diss tracks released in that entire murder inc vs shady aftermath beef. only ones that really come to mind are loose change and back down. Also busta's verse on the hail mary remix was fire but 50 ruined.
fact em really had the "suge shot me" sample from the makaveli album playing through this is hilarious lol.
He was in and out of jail and was terrible at managing his money. A lot of his pull came from how much money he was throwing around due to having acts like Dre, Snoop, Pac and Dogg Pound and them under the same label
Dre leaving Death Row and Pac dying kinda ruined so much of that.
However in the early 2000s him linking with dudes like Irv Gotti and backing them amongst others gave him a second wind,
I don’t think people realize how WILD the Murder Inc. / Aftermath beef arc of the 2000s was.
Yall wanna know how real it got? @Mac45 @Syllables
Like mad beefs were intertwined it was more than just 50 and Ja.
DMX was beefing with Ja the same time and Eminem was beefing with Benzino and that’s how we got that collab on the Cradle 2 The Grave soundtrack with X and Em and Obie Trice called Go To Sleep where X was dissing Ja and Em was going at Benzino.
Meanwhile the same time that’s going on right? D12 is beefing with Royce Da 5’9 and Royce shouts out Murder Inc on his diss tracks to them and says he wants to sign to Irv.
Then you got Ja talking out of his neck to Busta which led to Busta joining Em and 50 on the Hail Mary remix.
Remember Nas was cozy with Murder Inc in the early 2000s too cuz Irv was trying to sign him. Then you randomly get Nas performing in NYC saying “this is that real s*** not that fake 50 Cent s***” and 50 going at him on Piggy Bank while dissing Jada and Fat Joe at the same time.
Like this beef had so many major players in it was insane I don’t think we’ll ever see something like it again
murder inc. vs aftermath has been virtually forgotten now lmao
03-04 Suge was pulling up at 50's video shoots and sending goons to try to get at Dre on TELEVISED AWARD SHOWS these boys don't know lmaoo
We would've seen industry beef on a level never before realized
fr
This is one of the dopest leaks I’ve ever heard.
Especially given the rarity of unreleased em recordings from that era and the subject matter.
This up there with Blood of the Lamb as a leak I’ll keep in rotation
And 50 gotta stop being a b**** holding all that unreleased s*** from 2002-2005 how has none of it leaked
It really is
Cool to hear em rap good again but he’s not saying anything crazy on here besides snitching on Suge
