IK it is but peoples attentionspan last for 48 hours. You need a viral moment like Kendricks not like us or else it gets forgotten within minutes.
Maybe the younger gen.
I could see em's standom do this s*** how they did his older stuff and play this s*** kn repeat for f***ing ever.
Hell I barely go back to anything post recovery and I've played this album maybe 15 times through already.
I like the album but there are definitely numerous cheesy, poorly written hooks on here
Only hook that really bothers me on here is Bad One
S*** ruins the whole song for me
Fitting song name
What about Offended on Revival? What do u think?
I don't remember anything from Revival but darkness and framed and I'm not keen to go back.

@Deliveranze in 2011 the two first full albums i listened to on yt was american idiot and mmlp1
idk what order, but yeah
MMLP, TES, 2001, Ready to Die were the first hip hop albums I dug into. And I already had a knack for it beforehand hearing 50 on the radio and popular rap tracks in the 2000s, but I didn’t know where to start

One of my favorite modern rappers along with Uzi. Kodak is an underrated spitter too. But Uzi and Juice’s knack for pop melodies combined with rapping is just up my alley.
I even enjoy Carti’s minimalist rap style but I feel like outside of him, no one pulls it off without coming off super pedestrian
Maybe
i think its so cool how nerdy u r about recording sessions
im from orlando so the relapse orlando sessions fascinate me

I don’t think I’ve listened to a modern Eminem album this much since MMLP2 dropped and I was expecting to hate this too but he came through with this one
8/10 for the weekend first listen
Also shoutout to Weezy. Love watching his rhyme scheme breakdowns on YouTube. His Bloody Mary verse with Juelz over one of the greatest rap beats of the 90s

D6 is overlooked honestly
Lots of people missing the concept
I’m seeing online reviews and comments about the album but haven’t seen one which accurately described the concept I wanted to lay it out:
Marshall is older and matured. He had kids that graduated college and even an adopted non-binary child. He’s pretty progressive tbh.
His youth (Slim Shady) still is a part of him and he acknowledges that brought him fame. He’s inescapably tied to his past.
To allow himself to fully mature and put the past (Slim) to rest, Marshall devises a plan to use our current “cancel culture” to kill off Slim Shady, even if it destroys their combined career.
Throughout the album he “punches down” to achieve this goal, culminating in a confrontation between his two personas during Guilty Conscience 2. At the end of this song he accomplishes his goal and kills his old self, possibly taking himself down in the process.
After this song, his album lyrics become more grown up since Slim is dead. This is why he mentioned in social media "Some of the songs won't make sense if you listen out of order."
I haven’t seen anyone address his use of “cancel culture” as a weapon that he wields against his old persona. While he complains about it, he also sees it as a gift that allows him to shed his old persona and finally mature into the rapper/man who he wants to be.
Hard ass concept
Execution good but could be better
I gotta relisten to it tbh
2017-2018 were great times fr that neet life when I didn’t have to worry about s***
