the culture will feed into itself if it is not reinforced by people who study music for a living. don michael randel wasn't elected to the president of five different universities because of luck, he knew good music from bad music scientifically. this is true of many music scholars. people who listen to music about petty d*** deals are never in positions of prestige because they don't know music theory and don't take the time to study it. maybe crack open a book sometime and read about the basics of key signatures, pitches, intervals, scales, chords, and other music fundamentals. hov uses none of them.

you learn about key sigs, pitching, tone, scales, and even chords at a highschool level wtf are you talking about 💀 also i would know because i have done it and btw music theory is more of a cheat sheet on what's going on not the key to creating great music 💀 for the most part a lot of the more interesting pieces over time have been those who have broken rules of theory or reformed them such as giant steps or b****es brew hell even lysf and don't even get me started on william basinski🤦🏽‍♂️....as far as hip hop goes it has always saw music the way otis saw soul which is to take and recreate make a new and spread the glee... life ain't pretty and the best of music is from the soul because art isn't best when it's so focused on being "right" we're human okay perfect ain't in our biology 💀 feel the waves enjoy the sounds and experience it the way you FEEL is best you think dilla cared about if people knew how amazing and interestingly new his techniques were? not at all that was just soul...do you think coltrane or mingus thought people would view them the way they do today? no they created it for the grander purpose not to be put in a book and praised that s*** was from the soul...

Nope. Never liked Eminem. Been listening to rap since 09. I liked a few songs here and there at first but once I dug into the genre, those songs I liked were complete trash
