    pretty sure 50 cent had a similar situation with THe Massacre

    its first week was only 4 or 5 days and it still sold over a milli

    yes, but thats not first week. for 50 cents massacre we use the mid week #s, for donda we use mid week #s. so why dont we take first 7 days for them too? s*** 50s first 7 may be more than em shows first 7...

    yea i think it did 700K the mid week, and then 800ish the second week (first full week) right?

    but they dont push that one like they push em show..

    I agree. We should be tracking the albums first 7 days, regardless of when it was released

    Here’s a solution

    Count either what’s considered the first week, or count the first full week. Whatever is bigger is what you go with.

    For TES, counting the first full week benefits it. For Donda, it would not benefit it.

    End of the day it’s just a stat for fans, and people interested can understand the details. I think it would be dumb to exclude TES from “most hyped albums” conversations because it released a day early.
