Plus training your pokemon in yellow and transferring them onto the BIG SCREEN My Pikachu would talk too which was really cute
Go to vimms lair website they have every emulator on there and all the games
Appreciate the info
I could never do this, that's like 1000 hours on Pokémon And you're still seeing the same generations in later games, I'd be burnt out pretty quickly. I'd just do Gen 2 remake, Emerald(if you haven't already played), Platinum, Black 2/White 2
If you're going to play Gen 1, do the Fire Red/Leaf Green remakes. And don't play OG G/S/C, the coding is a mess
Exactly what i was thinking, so ill do it that way then
Idk about Drastic but EmulatorBox does everything I need My only complaints are that you need internet to load a save because of the ads and some of the buttons can get in the way of the touch screen like when I'm doing Pokeathlons
Jesus ads and internet for saves lmao
Definitely look into Drastic
Easiest path is
Fire red/leaf green
Heart gold/soul silver
Emerald
Platinum
Black
Black 2
Etc....
Thanks

Vimms download speeds are shot these days no?

You can save the game fine but you need internet to reload a save (which you do pretty frequently in Pokémon) because of the ads. Been really inconvenient because I have 4-6 hours of power cuts daily, so no internet About to download Drastic right now, might switch over if I fw the UI
Crystal is the best pokemon game ever
I thought this too but that programming is horrible. Apricorn pokeballs don't even do what they're supposed to HG/SS is such a great upgrade in every way
Level balancing is woat even in the remakes though. I need dozens of hours just to prep for the Elite 4
I went one step up from emulating on pc and copped flash carts to play on the actual gameboy and DS
Ones for DS are below 10 dollars and work perfectly if you download the right firmware I sold my White 2 cart and bought both with the money, and I still have the game downloaded onto the flash cart
mGBA for GBA
melonDS or DeSmuMe for DS
these are actively supported/newer emulators which have features the older ones don’t
okay since this is a good thread to ask
why do games download so slow idk if it’s just me but i’ll download like a 4 gb game and it will take an hour

Yeah they're not the fastest tbh but still the most safe / reliable place
I know they have an online in-browser emulator for gba tho where you can just download and import your saves tho which is cool, think they have a DS one too iirc
