he WROTE the script . n the reason he can't just be recast is bcuz he brought the concept of a nc-17 highly sexual film to todd haynes. would b pretty impossible to find another star of that calibre to take part in general nvm five days before shooting it's so crazy

frustrating to think of a whole production team and crew doing all of that work just for dude to walk out.

Haynes repeatedly said Joaquin's the one who pushed this story idea too. Little space to recast when the co-writer and driving force just leaves

bro finally got out of 6 straight years of working on aquaman and he's going right back into the waters the man loves his waters.

if he can bring malignant type stuff to swampy scary blag lagoon stuff it could be cool

That’s a good point he does have a lot of experience with filming water scenes now

For as campy the Aquamans might’ve been the under water stiff always looked great to me

Been trying to keep up with it but there’s like a new wrinkle every day. Even the screenwriter throwing shots because Blake said her husband wrote a scene

Looks like all that drama might be helping it at the box office though
