The show definitely has a basic arc when it comes to Vince (even tho it switches after S4).

But E has nothing but conflict surrounding him. Relationships. Trying to be taking serious as a manager while trying to maintain his best friends career. Etc.

Yet even he always seems to come out fine (hence my happily ever after comment) despite them being in some relatively difficult situations like living off your best friends stardom, spending money you don't have, being an amateur amongst professionals. I mean take turtle for example, the last episode I watched he already managed to put together a show for the first rapper he signed as a manager in just two episodes.

Even their relationships seem to just be minor hiccups in their lives with no real consequences. E's been in two relationships so far and both end up with him seeming to just move on even though there was talk of one girl supposedly being "the one" or of him being blinded by love. Vince is madly in love with a girl in season 2 and by the beginning of season 3, he's back to business as usual.

Ari is my favourite character so far. Despite his racist and homophobic jokes to Lloyd, he has the most depth imo.

Yeah Ari is great. Him and Billy are my personal favorites.

I wouldn’t say E is just getting the “happily ever after” treatment. Regardless of the success he still gets doubted and made fun of. He still struggling with relationships. Which remains a continuous thing when he gets in a serious relationship with Sloan later on.

It seems like you’re looking for the guys to flat out fail. Which happens at S4. Not sure if you’re gonna continue watching so I won’t spoil it.

Not really looking for failure, just have an issue with how there's barely anything at stake. Everything just seemingly goes well for them. And yea I plan on watching the whole thing. Will keep you posted on any new thoughts I have, if you want.

Word word. Also idk if it helps but keep in mind E is arguably the main character even tho it seems that Vince is.

I was wondering why he had the most backstory amongst all the characters

Yup. And look at two things that both occur in the opening credits.

    1. The show is called Entourage. The Entourage is only E, Turtle and Drama. Not Vince. E is the head of the Entourage.

    2. Kevin’s (guy who plays E) name is billed first. And it’s not due to alphabetical order.

They said Jeremy Piven (Ari) improvised the line “let’s hug it out b****” to tease Kevin (E) because he doesn’t like being touched. I can see that because he gives the most awkward hugs in the show. Their quick as f*** like he’s rushing to get it over with

Alright, I just finished all of it and here are my thoughts.

My favourite seasons were 5, 6 and 7. I’m sure some people will be surprised cause I heard most people consider season 7 to be dumpster trash, but to me it was much needed character development and less formulaic (slightly) than the first 4 seasons at least, and I didn’t even hate season 8. I’d even argue that the show’s quality stays consistent throughout its entirety.

The show has problems, MANY in fact, and the comedic aspect of the show suffered heavily since comedy doesn’t age really well. Most of the racist/misogynistic/homophobic jokes kind of just ended up falling flat for me. However, it’s not bad for something you throw on when you just want to kick back and enjoy lunch, which I did most of the times while watching this

Lol damn that’s wild bro yes most would say that 5,6,7 is they least favorite and when the show fell off. But it makes sense cus the first 4 seasons you ain’t really f*** wit and after 4 is when it starts to change up. But props to you for finishing.

sometimes when they do movies like that when you too far out the sauce I don't get it. Breaking Bad Netflix was the same kind of way. Like once you get far enough out of the mood and environment for the show I would have to kind of rewatch entire show to fully get in mood again and often its not worth it for whatever content they putting out to milk the fans.

In terms of Entourage I had it on dvd young and marathoned. That's about all I needed from it. Lol I wish I could rewatch things like other people but I like the idea of surprise and there is so much new content to watch that I cant justify it too much

Idk man… I think there’s more interest than ever into these weird Hollywood shenanigans. They could fully play into all the weird studio politics/tea era that’s going on rn.

But the creator is already working on something with the guy that plays E i think, so this is never happening
