No one’s reaching here though it’s been pretty clearly rolled out. And to say this is the first time drake has done something conceptual is also ridiculous.

I just think a lot of yall feel like music can only be conceptual if it’s also “deep” emotionally or politically which just isn’t true at all. But people just reserve conceptual breakdowns for Kendrick type rappers because it’s seen as “important”, and the types who like the conceptual angle the most also really want the music to be important politically and socially. Have you ever thought that not all music has to be that tho? And just because it’s not that, doesn’t mean there can’t be concepts at play
