Why does it matter if he hasn’t done psychedelics much and just uses the aesthetic because it matches the d***ged out sound of his music? Art is partly about creating a world to explore and get lost in. I really doubt that you keep the same energy for every other rapper whether it’s talking about crimes they haven’t done, money they don’t have, depressed rappers that aren’t actually depressed etc etc. It sounds like you just don’t like Rocky, and that’s cool. But I can’t get behind that particular reasoning
