are restoring the feeling. Finding some of these effects on her voice work for me others don't.
Earl went crazzyyyy and that beat
had to run that back several times before running back the whole album
Pretty care free vocal performance and writing from Erykah. Works for me for the most part because she has so much charisma. Kinda in rap mode for a good chunk.
Echos is probably my fave of first listen. I love that pitch she’s at on the second verse of Crossfade so much too.
The background vocal on Crossfade reminds me of Santorini Greece haha
I love D'Angelo. Only have like 2 Maxwell songs. I will be open minded with her and see what happens. Saying modern day R&B probably wasn't accurate. I was just tryna think about how to like mention Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean, and all their little similar artists like Q/Omar Apollo
Ah I got you
I don’t wanna say she’s an acquired tastes but she’s one that once is clicks it’s undeniable.
Speaking of Maxwell give urban hang suite another full listen
Do people know DJ Creole Princess is Yasiin Bey's daughter?
She is?
I know Laila is

“Struggling” is a bit performative
2nd listen in, I’m meh with this. A lot of great, a lot of mid.
The good outweighs the bad though.
“Struggling” is a bit performative
