He could certainly well be the new will smith coming out with cornball raps for all his new movies

He said he wanted to reach today’s add internet obsessed fans so based on the amount of attention this got he could easily pick it up as a gimmick

Wasn’t too long ago he was on stage cranking that Soulja boy he all about feeding into this gimmick

The Soulja Boy s*** is a reference to a performance he did in high school lol. Any gimmick he’s leaning into feels more self referential than vultureish.

Theres enough “white mediocrity” to go around idk why we’re forcing this Timmy hate

Why ya so upset at this

I don’t get why some people are getting riled up about this

The only reason it exists is because there was a viral rumor that EsDeeKid was actually Tim, who also happens to have a new movie coming out in three days

Why not capitalize on the theory & in the process draw even more eyes to your film?

People blame new artists for not being able to generate buzz then when they do, they get upset at them for it

Dummys are gonna get angry at this article because literacy is in the toilet and the slightest criticism of a celebrity is seen as a "hit piece" these days. Worth reading if this doesn't apply to you

    archive.is/YVsWY

In a Q&A moderated by Robert Downey Jr. touching on process and promotion just after the Globes, Chalamet addressed a conscious shift toward “gratitude” and “reverence” this month, hinting at an end to the hyperactive rush. It’s instructive of how he tailors his appeal to the room. Weeks of attention-seeking gestures — rapping about lean with EsDeeKid, referencing deep Kirk Franklin cuts with Druski, and memorializing moments in basketball history with Melo — broadcasted inner-city cool to people who aren’t often visited by someone with Oscar buzz. But awards voters who snip at talent anonymously in trade publications enjoy the stuffy, demure rhetoric the Marty machine largely ignored. In this company, Chalamet’s art-school pedigree is a badge of pride; therefore his sound bites emphasized toil and study. His “white boy of the year” act — leaning into a title he picked up at Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards’s Believe That Awards in October — appears to be dying down as the winter beats on and the Academy Awards approach, making the 2025 shenanigans feel a bit transactional. Chalamet’s embrace of hip-hop culture seems genuine. But in dialing his tastes and mannerisms back, he exhibits a luxury not available to the people whose culture he champions.
