Album is alright tbh.. like a 7/10, maybe 7.5/10. Better than MAD and I Never Felt Nun but definitely not touching Last Ones Left or BTLOD.
Best songs: Free Doggy, Moment w Gotti, Turn the Streets Up, XXL, Toast, Another Moment w Gotti
no one's saying there aren't a few good songs...we're saying he's not living up to his potential and besides that, probably needs help lol
you mean like mental health type help? or songwriting help?
I enjoy this album a decent amount, maybe not as much as I Never Felt Nun (GOATED fr) or BTLOD but it's not bad. I agree with some of y'all that his style kinda hits different on his first few albums, but maybe that's because we weren't used to hearing his music and know his story. I don't think it's like he's gotten significantly worse. I think a song like One Call didn't need to be on here, so the whole thing isn't gonna be on repeat, but if you ask me he delivered a solid product. I like this more than MAD.
I Like, Toast, Don't Forget, XXL, Meech, he went hard and picked good beats.
one call hard as bricks
crazy how people can have differing opinion on music
to me, it's my least favorite on here
most of this album gonna be on my treadmill playlist, but MEECH especally
goddamn he is too savage on these beats
Ion feel nun
I still don’t feel nun
Bigger than life or death
Gee still one of the best
Unfortunately, this is prob his worst tape. He took a step back with this, he is starting to lean too much into that autotune route. Needs to hang less around Lil Baby and Durk. You can clearly see he still can do with he should be doing on tracks like another moment with Gotti. He needs to hang more around Jeezy, that’s the route he needs to be taking instead. Needs to get back to his sound next tape.
So gave this a spin, I barely like this as background music. Less autotune, less croning, a hook writer, and slightly varied production is what this man desperately needs. He doesn't even sound like he wanna be recording

Yea, I think he makes it clear he isn’t really into the rap game like that. He talks about it on the album some IIRC. I just don’t think his heart is in it anymore.
Fentanyl!!

How can you get gassed out this early in your career this legitimately makes me sad bc dude should be next up.
El Toro: The Short Film (10 mins)
I would've liked it more if Gee wasn't just a rapper but actually played a role in the film
Peoples is tripping about this album
intro track is top 3 this year
non-street niggas cant relate

I may not relate but its a really good album
Not sure who people want Gee to pretend he is
Gee came from the trap and from the drill culture in his city, it shouldn't be a surprise to hear him speaking on the same type of stuff
a bunch of his guys got locked up earlier this year so I hope he can stay out of a jam in the future
Signing to CMG was the worst decision he could’ve made
cap as f***
this was the ideal situation
they pushed his music while not forcing him to lose his authenticity
Most other labels would not allow him to be affiliating with his crew of known felons and people ducking the law
Yo Gotti lets Gee be himself and support his people
majority of rappers would be grateful to get the type of situation EST Gee has at CMG
same with 42 Dugg

CMG is the best thing that has happened to rappers and you can tell truly cares about his label, aside from the street beefs.
I guarantee they wouldn't be as big without CMG and the music still bumps so idk what people talking about.
