after more listens i really like this album

i'm a huge uzi fan too, but i think every ktt member trying to be an accountant is just ridiculous. go to the sales thread or find a cubicle somewhere if thats what you're interested in (not saying this directly to you, but more abstractly to everyone on here) here's imo why it didn't sell as well:

• streaming/sales are down drastically for new music since 2020
• none of these songs had snippets or were hyped
• no rollout/uzi announced this 1 week before and did barely any press before release
• this is the last album in his contract w atlantic, which might point to why the promotion is lacking since why would they put a large budget into building/promoting an artist that is leaving them.
• strategically a bad release window (halloween, election, tyler, albums tend to not sell as well this time of year)
• no single
• uzi hasn't been active on social media for basically a year

it's not like this album is similar to any of the rollouts uzi has done in the past that led him to higher numbers so comparing just isn't beneficial imo. if uzi had pushed this for the past month and actually had a significant marketing budget and it performed this way that would be a completely different story.

Uzi’s pure name should command 100K considering their legacy

It’s their worst solo release by a considerable amount and I like it, this is a distinct fall-off moment, it happens, it happened with Wayne & Ye, they are still goats, but this feels like a distinct moment of disappointment

Uzi is so talented, they should be better than this, but for whatever reason, they aren’t fulfilling their potential
