Adele did about 300-350k streams. The physical sales had the numbers cooked because they used shipped and not sold.

So as far as people actually going into their app and pressing play she did numbers more comparable to Uzi and Cole. Only difference is they didn’t have the mainstream media like CBS evening news on their side.

i could argue that Eternal Atake drop eclipses both of those releases. That project along with After Hours are pandemic classics both in terms of commercial and critical success

Eternal Atake really put the pandemic & quarantine off to a great start. Will always be grateful for that.

The week eternal atake dropped it felt like the pandemic stopped no bullshit s*** was an incredible moment

Her first week numbers are some bs in terms of popularity measurement given the streaming numbers but we’ll see what her weekly sales sustains at. People called Doja Cat a flop for doing like 60k first week but then she hasn’t done less than 30k a week for over half a year. Agree though much of the hype around this new Adele feels phony

    Facts

Hopefully this begins the death knell for bland, forced, soccer mom pop music. Adele, Swift, and The Weeknd are the last of a dying breed whose times are coming expeditiously

I'm halfway joking but I think we're at a point where life events can literally interfere with rollouts for albums in terms of buzz.
