Producers triggered itt. Realistically tho it won’t be an issue unless ur music pops off cuz he probably will never know or rly care
If the song popped off tho he’d basically be entitled to all the revenue from the song

Diddy is still paying Sting $2k whenever that song is played. Y'all wanna give op unnecessary headaches lol
So, I recorded this song, and I really like the song and want to buy the beat and include it on my Ep… but when I went to YouTube and clicked on the beat, it was “SOLD”.
Now I really like this song broski and want it on the EP
Should I reach out to the person and ask if I can still buy it (reach some agreement). ..
..Or should I just say f*** it and throw it on the EP and see what happens? ?????
What y’all think
Reach out or you could f*** them over. It’ll come back to bite you but if you do reach out you can maybe build a business relationship.

True that but damn lol.
Don’t tell the producer just drop it who cares
Let’s be real ur song probably isn’t making noise so it doesn’t actually matter
If u start making money off the song then it matters
What if this comes back to bite his ass after he becomes the next nettspend?
based copyright is theft from our human collective
just use it, producers get no respect
keep the tradition alive
yup metro been wilding lately. Relax my guy we dont need your name on every song
Plug it into a BPM detector and find the most memey replacement (Smash Mouth - All Star, Axel F, etc) and title the song "The Other Beat Wasn't For Sale"
everyone already talked about the ethics here but the big issue if the song ends up actually doing well you're now in a weird legal situation and have no leverage at all. the producer could ask for a crazy % or issue a takedown, and its possible that the guy who bought the beat could do the same
but i understand loving the song so if youre just a hobbyist and making music for the hell of it then it doesnt really matter. but if you have serious career aspirations with this song then u gotta straighten the business out, not just for the moral implications but for your own sake
one time this beat i made did like 40k views on youtube but before i could get any ad money someone stole the beat, put out a song, and then copyright claimed MY damn video 😭

If that’s your plan you should be more concerned with a lawsuit if the song does anything
