Think of how tough it is to win the UCL
You literally need everything to go your way (injuries, fixtures, bracket seeding etc)
A league would be super competitive imo, there is no one clear team above the rest right now
But one team will always establish them to be the best. And once they got to that point they will outsource everybody else again.

I don’t actually believe domestic football will be touched. I think a lot of people are angry/shocked so a lot is being said but ESL never wanted to hurt domestic football. This is more about replacing UEFA competitions.

I'm not really the sanctimonious type but there is still some beauty in football with relegation/promotion, the Cups and s*** teams parking the bus
