I know what the numbers were Roc especially was doing 700 million both were huge brands.

Neither were the dominant brands in they fields. Diddy and HOV were never making more then the men they were in competition with.

Kanye is the number 1 most paid off sneakers and leagues above a LeBron that's unheard of for a non athlete.

That's the point and why his is so different. Diddy wanted to make his own Polo but he never made more then Polo despite his numbers.

Kanye jumped over the Jumpman in terms of sneaker history thats insane because it wasn't KD,Kobe or Bron no it was the rapper.

You're being sensitive and tryna argue feelings over facts no one is downplaying them purposely but reality is what it is.

As Jay himself said "men lie,women lie numbers don't". Numbers say something like Yeezy Brand has never been done before.

Its not an attack on them to admit that fact

If this never happened:

• A lot of style influence from Graduation era wouldn’t exist

• No Kick Push

• No Bape era Wayne

• No Lil B. He popped with The Pack and a lot of the their appeal came from the fact they were considered skater rappers. Their breakout single was about Vans and they had scenes of niggas skating throughout the vid

• Curren$y might not have been the same artist. He was inspired by Pharrell, style wise and musically. Spitta hopped on a lot of Neptunes beats during his first mixtape run. Almost did a full tape rapping on all Neptunes tracks

• No Tyler the Creator/Odd Future

All three styles of businnes mentioned were typical of rappers and celebs and none of them near the level of Yeezy or Beats nor as unique.

Beats was the first time we've seen a Hip Hop artist step into the tech field and succeed to the point where the biggest brand on the planet made it their first ever acquisition.

Yeezy Brand similarly is way beyond what was ever expected of a rapper yes their have been popular brands but it's the most googled on the planet,biggest reselling and he makes more of shoes then Jordan and any active basketball player

Yeezy Brand unlike RocaWearor Sean John which were popular Rapper brands is one of the most popular brands on the planet.

Too even try and bring Ciroc,OVO or RocaWear into the convo of Beats and Yeezy says you prolly gotta get ya reading up homie.

Those are big companies for rappers and celebs. YEEZY AND Beats became dominant companies int heir industries period.

Both off only one product at that its unheard of and never been done by Hip Hop artist
