    Ooo

Have you written anything before? You’re supposed to use “big” words sometimes to say something old in a new way. There’s hundreds of ways to say the same thing. I don’t see an issue with this.

Superiority complex in fans comes in everything so I wouldn’t single this out

This has nothing to do with “ big words “ but the way certain rappers word and structure their content

When you decipher it, it really doesn’t mean anything

    Bro you literally said:

"Nothing but artist sometimes will use random words that rhyme to sound like intellectuals

And the fans have a snobby superiority complex"

This is exactly what you are sounding like my guy. You're projecting on yourself.

But I’m not lol it’s just an opinion idk why you’re so angry about this

Just admit you don't like rap, and call it a day.

He can be lyrical spiritual from time to time, but his writing is witty and can be very interesting, I enjoy the stories he tells. Never got a fake intellectual vibe from it.

Exactly, and when people say "lyrical miracle" it just means that it gets repetitive, right?

I think they use it to mean they rhyme words for the sake of rhyming them, and that they don’t add anything to the verse.

You're just a pop fan. And that's okay. But don't try to pass it off as having superior taste in a genre you don't actually really like because it doesn't fit your pop standards - that's vulture mentality

Beats me bro. Probably when it started to get poppier and more mainstream if I had to guess.

But I can understand if you don’t like DOOM or Jay Elec or whatever, I get that doesn’t appeal to everyone. I personally listen to all rap: old and new, lyrical and not.

  • Mar 18, 2020

  • Oh now it’s the fans. You been complaining about lyrical rap for a week lol. Don’t backtrack now.

Yeah I do the same. U saw some of the s*** I was linking earlier. Like I don't get why people pick sides lmao. That's really what's ruining the genre

Do you not get exhausted being a little b**** all the time OP?

I loved mudboy. Loved new Elec. But I’m tired of this anti-intellectionalism bullshit y’all have been on. You want to point fingers at the problem when you’ve been the problem. You’ve been the b****. You’ve hated more than any of the Elec fans.

Truth of the matter is, that the VAST majority of people praising these lyrical rappers really don't get what the f*** they're saying until they have it spelled out for them or when some white critic or journalist writes an entire thesis on it.

This is why I mentioned Kendrick and said 'it's not necessarily his fault'. It's gotten to the point where his own fans have looked for things that aren't even there and he himself in interviews (iirc it was the Rolling Stone one) has spoken on how he basically has this 'wise sage' type of image when he's just a regular dude.

Nah f*** that. Listening to any non lyrical hip hop whatsoever is for speds, straight up. I can understand listening to rappers that don’t care to rhyme every single syllable like Drake or Future or Roddy Ricch, but if the rapper isn’t getting a single f***ing idea across the whole goddamn song (like Travis or Carti usually) then you can keep that s*** tucked FAR away these rappers aren’t flowing, they don’t have lyrics, they don’t have anything, they’re just mumbling over the beat in a way that just kinda sounds like hip hop.
