What the hell are folks talking about itt with Python or VBA

Just do a Pivot Table and put a Count of Cavity Filling in the fields section

Why can't you just sort by patient ID?

i sorted the work type to show "cavity fillings" because there was different types of work_types

  • Mar 3, 2023

Or filter and do a =SUBTOTAL

    Or literally just =COUNTIF

  • Mar 3, 2023

    Something like COUNTIF(D1:D200,”I2”)

    ive used sql once

If you have access to the database it’s just a SELECT DISTINCT patient_id, Count(patient_id) FROM TableName WHERE work_type = ‘Cavity Filling’

Put work_type in Filters as well, then filter for Cavity Filling on the Pivot Table. Not the actual table. Should work then.

  • Mar 3, 2023

Wouldn't pivot table do that for you
